FAQs

Yes, properly designed contoured foam pillows help reduce neck and back pain by supporting the natural curve of your spine. Their ergonomic shape promotes better posture, decreases muscle tension, and improves overall comfort and sleep quality. At Ultimate Beds, our contoured pillows use open-cell foam that stays cool and responsive, offering a healthier alternative to traditional memory foam pillows.

Yes, contour pillows can be beneficial for side sleepers. These pillows are specifically designed to provide support and alignment to the head, neck, and shoulders, which is crucial for maintaining a proper sleeping posture.

Yes. Buying directly from a manufacturer means you avoid retail mark-ups and deal directly with the team who designed and built the product. This often ensures better pricing, closer quality control, and more customisation options. Ultimate Beds is proudly factory direct. Each boat mattress is handcrafted in our Perth workshop and delivered straight to your home or vessel.

Memory foam mattresses are usually anywhere between 15–35cm (6–14 inches) thick. We at Ultimate Beds believe your mattress need not be any thicker than 25cm. Anything deeper is simply wasteful, heavier and more costly.

When choosing a foam mattress, consider the density, firmness, and breathability of the foam, along with your sleeping position and comfort preferences. Look for non-toxic materials, quality certifications, and layered support that promotes alignment.

Check the firmness and comfort of the pillow by pressing it firmly with your hand. The pillow may be too soft if it offers little to no resistance, and may not offer the right support depending on your sleep position. Conversely, if it does not depress at all, it may be too firm.

Sleeping well in a campervan comes down to creating the right environment: choose quiet, safe places to park, use blackout curtains to block out light, maintain airflow for ventilation, and follow a steady sleep routine. Most importantly, invest in a quality mattress designed to suit small spaces and provide proper support.

Specialising in premium mattresses, we provide custom campervan mattresses designed with 7-zone support, organic cotton covers, and breathable foam cores. This means you can sleep comfortably on the road with healthy, pressure-relieving support and a perfect fit for your van.

Yes. Regular mattresses are usually too tall, too wide, and too heavy for RV and campervan spaces. This can cause fitting issues, weigh down the vehicle, or reduce available headroom. RV mattresses are purpose-built to be lighter, slimmer, and cut to exact dimensions so they fit securely within compact spaces.

Ultimate Beds specialises in made-to-measure mattresses for caravans and campervans. We tailor each mattress to your vehicle’s unique layout. If you prefer a mattress with rounded corners, reduced thickness, or specific zoning for support, we can provide the perfect fit with long-lasting comfort.

The best memory foam mattresses mostly share features such as multi-layer foam construction, zoned support for pressure relief, and temperature-regulating open-cell foams. They balance softness and structure to align the spine, reduce motion transfer, and enhance breathability.

The contoured shape of these pillows supports side sleepers by aligning the head, neck, and spine, reducing discomfort and promoting better sleep quality.

Memory foam is a popular choice for campervan mattresses due to its ability to conform to your body’s shape, providing personalised support and comfort. It’s excellent for relieving pressure points and minimising motion transfer, making it ideal for couples sharing the bed.

At Ultimate Beds, we craft custom campervan mattresses using high-grade, breathable Australian-made foams. Our designs combine personalised support with airflow technology to prevent overheating, giving you restorative rest no matter where the road takes you.

While latex foam is often praised for its durability, it can pose some serious health risks, especially to those who are allergic to this material. The ideal type of foam for a mattress strikes a balance between health and comfort.

Our mattresses use a number of foams including Hygroflex®, a hybrid comfort foam combining the contouring feel of memory foam with high-resilience support. It’s also engineered for fast response and excellent heat dispersion, so you don’t feel stuck in it or overheated. Its design also redistributes pressure evenly and maintains breathability, making it ideal for healthy, restorative sleep.

Memory foam is a synthetic material that contours to your body heat, whereas contour pillows contour to the actual shape of your head and neck. Ultimate Beds provides contour foam pillows with memory-like capabilities that support every sleeping position.

The healthiest mattresses avoid harmful chemicals, promote airflow, and provide proper spinal support. Features like natural fabrics, non-toxic foams, and breathable design contribute to cleaner, safer sleep.

Ultimate Beds specialises in healthier sleep solutions. Our boat mattresses are made with non-toxic breathable foams and 100% organic cotton covers. They are asthma and allergy-approved by the National Asthma Council of Australia and GECA certified for environmental safety. Each mattress is also designed with advanced airflow technology and posture-supportive zoning.

Short-term inhalational exposure to fibreglass may cause lung inflammation and bronchiolitis. Fibreglass fibres can also cause visual changes, bleeding, and scarring if they become embedded within the eye.

At Ultimate Beds, none of our custom boat mattresses contain fibreglass or other harmful materials. Every design is crafted from safe, non-toxic foams and organic cotton covers, many of which are asthma and allergy-approved.
